Where to stay in Berkeley
There will be a designated event shuttle running from the Residence Inn to LBNL, dropping off at the IGB building.
- Morning Schedule :
- 7:45AM – 9:15AM Pick up from the Residence Inn Berkeley approximately every 20 minutes.
- Afternoon Schedule:
- Thursday, August 24th – 4:45PM – 6:30PM – departing the IGB and returning to the Residence Inn approximately every 20 minutes
- Friday, August 25th – 3:30PM – 5:00PM – departing the IGB and returning to the Residence Inn approximately every 20 minutes
NOTE: Once onsite attendees have received their event badge it can be used to ride any LBNL shuttle.
- Should you have missed these schedules, the BLUE Shuttle has a stop near the Residence Inn as well.

Parking is very limited onsite at LBNL. Public transportation is encouraged.
Bart runs from both the Oakland and San Fransisco airports to downtown Berkeley.
How to Submit an Abstract to be considered for a short talk?
Should you be interested in presenting your abstract for a short 10-minute talk and 5-minute audience Q&A, please submit your abstracts here no later than Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:59PM (PDT). Please note that submitting your abstract does not register you in for the event and your registration is required to attend.
We will post further information for flash talks for abstract presentations at a later date.
A Poster Session will be held at the end of the day of Thursday, August 24 – please note that only the first 50 posters will be accepted due to space restraints. There will also be a virtual poster session to be held in the afternoon on Friday, August 25.
Should you wish to attend a JGI Tour, please register here. There will only be groups of 10 people per tour, sign up will be on a first come first serve basis. You can find the virtual tour here.
All refunds are subject to a $50.00USD administrative fee. If canceled up to four weeks before the event, 100% of the registration fee (less the administrative fee) will be refunded.
No refund is given if canceled within two weeks of the event. If canceled between four and two weeks before the event, 50% of the registration fee (less the administrative fee) will be refunded.

We will be holding a poster session at the end of Day 1 where you can still present your current work. Please note that only 50 posters will be posted up due to space constraints.
